The MMA HOUR: UFC Fighter Chris Curtis & Ariel Helwani talk about Claudio the barber
Ariel Helwani compliments Chris Curtis on the live stream saying: I like the fade, did you just get a haircut right now? and mentions how he loves Chris Curtis's haircut while they were live on "the MMA HOUR".
Chris Curtis "Big's up" Claudio the barber after getting his haircut right before his UFC fight on fight day while he was here in Toronto. He mentions how wanted to go full blade like Wesley Snipes and how Claudio stopped by the hotel room to give him a fade on the day of the UFC 297 fight. Chris Curtis vouches that Claudio Ferreira was a cool guy and how he did a great job, and if any one was in Toronto they should stop by the Fade Room to get a haircut.
Chris "The Action Man" Curtis is a professional mixed martial artist, who competes in the middleweight division of the ultimate fighting championship. He is ranked as a top #15 fighter in the UFC middleweight division.
Chris met Claudio at the hotel in the lobby when he saw Claudio walking past him with a luggage with his barber tools. As they chatted up a bit Claudio told Chris Curtis he was a barber and he was at the hotel cutting some of the other fighters for the main event. Chris had asked Claudio for his phone number and later on that day asked Claudio if he come back to the hotel the next day in the morning to freshen him up before his fight.
Claudio say's I remember talking to Chris in the hotel lobby and he looked so rough, you can tell he hasn't had gotten his hair cut in awhile. Within conversation, I even told him "I can't believe your going to fight tomorrow looking like a bear". Chris has a great sense of humor. So he laughed when I said that and told me "I look so grizzly bro". Give me your phone number.
Claudio mentions how he didn't have time to cut Chris Curtis on the day he bumped into Chris since he already had some appointments booked in. But he's glad Chris ended up messaging him and he was able to get him in the morning before the fight. Claudio says "If I didn't show up, I think Chris would of looked the roughest in the octagon that day. I'm glad he looked sharp in the octagon, he looked good and he won the fight".
